La marque Hoalen est amoureuse des belles histoires de bateaux classiques. Elle a donc été honorée d’habiller de ses polos classiques l’équipage de Olympian, ce P class américain centenaire qui s’est illustré sur les régates classiques depuis sa mise à l’eau en Méditerranée en 2014. Their hundred-year-old American P-Class has made a name for itself in classic regattas since its Mediterranean launch in 2014.

Fin 2014, Olympian, s’est imposé comme vainqueur tout d’abord en Italie dans la catégorie « Epoque » sur les Vele d’Epoca à Imperia puis, barré par le skipper émérite Bruno Troublé, lors des très célèbres Voiles de Saint Tropez, tant dans sa catégorie que dans le cadre du Centenary Trophee, rassemblant uniquement des yachts de plus de 100 ans. In late 2014, the Olympian asserted its winning nature firstly in Italy, in the Classic category of the Vele d'Epoca di Imperia, then with renowned skipper Bruno Troublé at the helm in the world famous Voiles de Saint Tropez, in its own category as well as in the Centenary Trophy reserved for yachts over 100 years old.

Pourtant, rien de prédestinait Olympian à venir régater un jour en Méditerranée. En effet, construit sur les chantiers Mc Clure en 1913 aux Etats-Unis ce P class n’avait presque jamais quitté Chicago en un siècle. Il y a été retrouvé dans un hangar, puis restauré dans le Maine. Une fois sa splendeur d’antan retrouvée, il a été emmené par cargo à Gênes en Italie où il a repris avec brio le chemin de la régate. Très fin, bas sur l’eau et rapide, Olympian a tout d’un grand régatier. Il a encore de belles années devant lui… And yet, the Olympian was by no means predestined to one day race in the Mediterranean. In fact, built in 1913 at the McClure shipyards in the United States, this P-Class hardly left Chicago in its first century. The hundred-year-old boat was discovered in a hangar near Chicago, negotiated and restored. Once the boat had rediscovered its former splendour, it was shipped it to Genoa, Italy where it enthusiastically returned to the world of regatta racing. Streamlined, fast and sitting low in the water, the Olympian has what it takes to make a great regatta yacht. And there are many more exciting years ahead of it...
